Gilad Arwatz, PhD
CEO & Co-Founder
Gilad Arwatz is co-founder and CEO of Instrumems Inc., bringing more than ten years of multidisciplinary entrepreneurial experience in hardware, software, and medical devices. Gilad is considered to be a leader in sensor technologies and fluid mechanics and he’s the co-inventor of the underlying nanotechnology developed by Instrumems. Previously, Gilad invented an optimization algorithm for online ads, which is currently adopted by one of the largest Ad Tech platforms worldwide. Gilad also co-founded Volumetric Inc., a medical device startup that invented an accurate dosage dispenser for topical applications. Gilad spent three years working in Silverbrook Research with Kia Silverbrook, one of the most prolific inventors in the world. During his work, Gilad participated in the development of the cutting-edge inkjet printing technology, Memjet and gained extensive experience in microfluidics and MEMS.
Gilad earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Tel Aviv University in Israel and his PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. Gilad also served for three years in the Air Force as a UAV Pilot and has wide experience and passion for aerodynamics. When he’s not working, Gilad enjoys spending time with his two kids and flying model airplanes and drones, a field in which he won several international awards.
