Dr. Dreismann has over 35 years of experience in life sciences and health care. He is regarded as a pioneer in the early adoption of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique, one of the most ubiquitous technologies in molecular biology and genetics research today.
He earned a Master of Science degree in biology and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in microbiology/molecular biology (summa cum laude) from Westfaelische Wilhelms University.
He joined F. Hoffmann La Roche AG in 1985 and held several management positions, including Head of R&D microbiological diagnostics and head of the Business Area Microbiology. From 2000 to 2006, he was President and CEO of Roche Molecular Systems. Other senior positions he held in Roche include Head of Global Business Development, Roche Diagnostics and Member of Roche’s Global Diagnostic Executive Committee.
Dr. Dreismann currently serves on the boards of several public and private life sciences and health care companies.
